I need current count please! ( doesn’t have to be exact )

Visitors in 2009 (through August): 3.2 million

Established in 1919, the Grand Canyon is perhaps the most famous of America’s national parks. It is an enormous stretch of canyon: 277 miles long (measured by the length of the river at its bottom), 6,000 vertical feet at its deepest and as much as 18 miles across in some places. It takes about two days to get to the bottom of the canyon and back on foot. And it receives close to 5 million visitors each year.

We have upgrade our helicopters to the ECO-Star since this video but the thrill of the Grand Canyon helicopter tour is still the same. The awe-inspiring Grand Canyon is a thrill all in itself but to soar with Maverick Helicopters like an eagle is a memory for a lifetime.

I’m gonna arrive at Flagstaff airport, and I haven’t got any idea how to get in the best touristic place from there. Would be great to get any help. Thank you

You do have a few options from getting to Flagstaff to here at the Canyon.

The easiest option would be to rent a car from the Alamo or the other rental company in the airport (I think the other company is Enterprise).

You may also request shuttle service ahead of time from Flagstaff Express or Open Road Tours. They may work with you to pick you up from the Airport, otherwise you will need to take a Taxi to the Amtrak station where both companies pick-up.

Using the shuttle companies also provides you another opportunity…I believe both shuttles can make stops in Williams, where the Grand Canyon Railway takes passengers on a train to the Grand Canyon. It’s a very unique opportunity if you have the time. If you make a day trip of the Canyon using the railway option, you only get a few hours to explore, but if you’re able to spend multiple days, you can take the train up one day and back to Williams when you’re ready.
