I thought that during daylight savings time, Arizona is on Pacific Time. I found a site that says they are always on Mountain time. How can that be if they don’t participate in DS? What time will the sun rise and set on April 7. One site says that it rises at 6:15 am MST and sets at 6:50pm MST (today or tomorrow). Is that true? Why is it MST and not PST?

I’ll be travelling to the states next year and need to get from San Fran to the Grand Canyon.

Can anyone tell me the best airport to fly into which airline is the cheapest.

Also the cheapest company to camp at the canyon with – I’ll need to hire equipment.

As you can see – as always – I’m on a budget!

Grand Canyon planes fly from South Rim to East Rim and North Rim and back to Grand Canyon Airport. It’s quite a site looking out the oversized window of a Vistaliner. If one has just a day or two at the canyon, a plane ride is the way to go!

Ok, I’m going to the Grand Canyon to go Whitewater rafting down the Colorado river.

We will be taking a tour bus to the rafting destination, then we will go rafting, then we will be taking a helicopter ride out of the canyon and then the bus ride home.

Oh yeah, we will be eating lunch there too.

My question is: What is the proper tip to give to the

1. Bus driver
2. the rafter guide
3. the helicopter pilot

Are you allowed to hike in the canyon by yourself during park operating hours?
What hiking trails and view points will you suggest to visit there?
What other considerations will you suggest to take before and during the visit to the canyon, besides the obvious ones such as stay hydrated and wear a hat?
Any information will be helpful.

we are planning for a trip to grand canyon from LA and then come back through las vegas and back to LA. Is it better to drive all the way and back or is it better to take some bus to reach there. Problem is we do not have much time and we are planning to spend a dat in grand canyon and come back after that.
