trying to plan a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I’ve been to the South Rim once before and it is absolutely breathtaking! now I have 2 people who have never been, and we want to make it in one day. I’m wondering if the West Rim is just as good since it’s a lot closer of a drive from Vegas. We’re not planning on doing the Skywalk so that is definitely not a deciding factor. I’m wondering if there are other things to do besides the Skywalk?
What is better driving to Grand canyon or taking a bus? If Bus, which one? How far is it by driving? What are the must see sights in Grand Canyon. Is it a good idea to go to back to Vages if we decide to drive to stay in Grand Canyon? Where in Grand Canyon should we stay? Or is it better to stay on the way to Vegas,
Do you know any cheap website to book a hotel for Memorial Day weekend?
Hi, I am visiting a friend in Phoenix next month and I’d like to visit the Grand Canyon in a day trip. I come from Italy and I never drove a car in the US before. What are the best travel options? Do I have to rent a car at the airport or are there some reliable public transports to get there? If I have to rent a car can you suggest me which company has the best value for the money ? Thank you very much!

Entry from: Grand Canyon south rim, United States Entry Title: “Grand Canyon” Entry: “After a bad nights sleep, we were picked up on time at 6:30 and taken to the bus companies main office to pay for the tickets, and we then received a continental breakfast. Sounds fancy, right? Wrong…it consisted of a small prepackaged danish and a little carton of juice… We managed to be right at the front of the queue for getting on the double decker bus, which meant we got to sit right at the front upstairs, so we got the best views for the long drive. The drive to the canyon goes through some beautiful scenery; much different to what we see in New Zealand. Some parts were very barren (not a cactus to be seen as it gets too dry for even them), others had lots of Juniper trees, and parts had fairly dense scrub compared to what we have seen in the US. We drove along part of the famous Route 66 and stopped a couple of times on the way to the Grand Canyon, with our last stop being at the National Geographic Visitor Centre, where we watched a 35 minute movie about it’s history, which had some neat photography. We finally arrived at the Grand Canyon south rim at about 2pm, where we were dropped off and had about 2 hours to make our way to Bright Angel Point. The south rim looks out over the widest and deepest …
I want to be a helicopter pilot and I have a 4 year degree. After reviewing my options (civilian or military training), I think the military offers the best opportunities. I say this because I don’t have 70K for flight school and I want a good job being a pilot once my contract is up. I don’t want to give tours of the grand canyon. I have looked into it some and the Coast Guard and Airforce seem out of reach. Of the other 3 branches which one is the best? Do they have guarentees? Serious answers please.
I DONT NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS I JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THEM.
1.One Family from Europe went to the grand canyon snf they need to submit their weights so the helicopter company can plan a balanced seating arrangement. They submitted their weigt in kilograms. The 5 passengers weighed: 50kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, and 90 kg. If 1 kilogram is equal to 2.2 pounds, how many pounds did each passenger weigh?
2. Design a seating plan. Place 2 people on one side and 3 on the other with less than a 25 lb. difference between the 2 sides.
3.The maximum weight allowable for passengersin the helicopter is half a ton. The helicopter company wanted to fill the sixth passenger seat with a photographer. What was the greatest number the photographer could weigh?
