We’re heading to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and would like to stay near there. Anyone have any reccomendations? I’ve heard of lodges that you have to ride a mule to since there are no roads there but don’t know of the name. That interests us. Also, what else do you recommend to do in the area…places to eat, see, etc. thanks in advance!

Greetings from NY
Happy New Year everyone/!
I have been in almost all East coast including East Canada
I have been to Vegas 10 years ago but this is all about West
I want to go see California, or Washington
And, since I don’t drive, my option is a organized guide tour. I checked some packages.
California trip including flying NY to CA and back, inland bus touring LA, San Diego, San Fransisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon.
Since I have been to Vegas and Grand Canyon, I am not so happy to waste my time on it (Grand Canyon is breathtaking though). And the other thing, the inland travel will be on bus. I remember 1 day bus trip from LV to Grand Canyon-desert and nothing else, boring with TV)
what is your suggestion? Is there nice packages for California alone, maybe flying to San-Francisco.
Many thanks
I am thinking April
what is the best time anyway? not too rainy not too hot
My 3 year old Daughter and i will be flying out to Tucson, Arizona in a week to visit my Husband who is in the US Army and is going off base for the first time since he’s been in Arizona. My hotel is near Tucson Airport and i really want to do some sight seeing over the weekend because that is the only time my Husband is allowed. It’s too bad we have no time to see the Grand Canyon but could there be something similar in Tucson or maybe some nice places to visit while we’re there? I really want to enjoy our short time being there and show my Husband & Family a good time. =) Thanks!
Hi All,
I live in Italy and my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to the west of the USA (landing in LA then moving to Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell/Page, Bryce Canyon) for September 2010 and I’m looking for advice about affordable places to stay at, how to get around (rented car, bus, train…?), how to dress for the desert and what do we need to bring with us (water, etc). Thanks!

Please, give me some suggestions of places to go at night in the different cities (if disco, also with the price if possible) or where is it possible to find many people having party or something like that
Other suggestions about Accomodations, Hostels??
