I read on the news that at a Airport security checkpoints on the border enter and leaving the country are scanned as a security measure.

Does this applied to travelers going to their vacation in the U.S like next week I’m headed off to Vegas from Newark New Jersey vacation their visit the grand canyon and stuff but I want to bring my labtop and use in Vegas hotel.

Are the TSA agents are going to scan through my stuff. I’m traveling to another state in the U.S.

Becuase this invades people’s privacy like email , and bank information.

Has anyone travel recently that had to go through this ?

I live on the west coast of Canada so I am spoiled with the mountains and the ocean on a daily basis. On vacation, I love going places that are vastly different from my usual surroundings (like the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley). I am looking for other geographically unique parks to plan vacations to visit. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I am planning a trip from San Diego to Grand Canyon then on to Vegas. Trying to find a hotel to stay 1 night close to Grand Canyon. Also what is the best route to take? Thanks for any help!

My friend has prosthetic leg. He can walk about 1 mile on level terrain. It doesn’t have to be paved but nothing too steep or rocky. Recommendations on specific camp grounds or hiking trails would be appreciated.

Have been there on guide tour in 2000, saw every famous hotel in city including downtown. saw some shows. Visited Grand Canyon and Hover Dumb.
Now I am planning a trip to California. The package includes flying to Ca from NY : LA, San Diego, San Francisco, Arizona (Grand Canyon) and Vegas. Total 10-11 days. My question is: does it make sense to take it, is there anything very interesting in Vegas I haven’t seen? I am not so happy to travel through deserts on bus.

Entry from: Flagstaff, United States Entry Title: “Using Flagstaff as a base to see the Grand Canyon” Entry: “We left Page at 9am and drive towards Flagstaff, Arizona. We’ve actually passed through California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona on this trip so far! Some of them even have different time zones which can get confusing! After 10 minutes we stopped to do a short walk to the overlook of Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado river. It’s an amazing sight – unbelievable how the river makes a complete u-turn. We drove on for another 2 hours before reaching Flagstaff at lunchtime. We stopped off at the mall to buy some new trousers (bigger size boo hoo!) and then after a while found our Motel 6. We bought some supplies from Bashas supermarket across the way and stayed in and watched films all evening. The next day we drove to the Grand Canyon. We left the motel around 8:45am and arrived at Grand Canyon airport at 10am. We were off on a helicopter flight! We flew over the Grand Canyon for 30 minutes which was amazing – we were so glad we saw it from the air. The scale of it is incredible. After we landed we drove to the park where we discovered lots and lots of tourists! How annoying! We had trouble parking so when we found a space we kept it and hopped on the free shuttle bus (which wasn’t as good as the one

Well, we are goinh to see the grand canyon this thanksgiving.
However, before going to the grand canyon, we are going to go to las vegas, for a day, and then go see the grand canyon.
We arrive at 11:00 AM at airport, and are going to rent a car. We will stay for a day ar TI hotel.
We will spend over $2000 for plane ticket, so we don’t want to do something pricy.

I know we are going to see fountain show at Bellagios, pirate ship show (since we are staying at TI anyways), volcano for sure.
We might go to the casino (caesar’s maybe?) but are not going to spend over $100.

We will rent a car, but we don’t want to drive around too much (traffic.) We’d rather walk. So please recommend something in walking distance (pref. around 10 min) from TI.

since we are going to see hoover dam and lake mead, we will be in vegas only after around 6:00 PM. so we need something to do 6:00 PM ~ whenever we decide to sleep.

What I need recommended are

Good dining place for dinner- (buffet or restrant) we don’t want to spend much, but want to eat something good since it’ll be our only dinner in vegas. Maybe around $100~200 for four people.

Hoover Dam – (anything else to do there other than just driving by?)

place to eat around the heartz rent-car center. or airport. (for quick, cheap lunch.)

Good casino (somewhere we can do something other than just put coins into the machine.)

Thnks.

P.S. if you recommend something, please be specific enough so I can understand.
Also, I need palce to eat quick breakfast around 6:00 AM before going to grand canyon. Around TI or in a route to GC.
