Greetings from NY
Happy New Year everyone/!
I have been in almost all East coast including East Canada
I have been to Vegas 10 years ago but this is all about West
I want to go see California, or Washington
And, since I don’t drive, my option is a organized guide tour. I checked some packages.
California trip including flying NY to CA and back, inland bus touring LA, San Diego, San Fransisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon.
Since I have been to Vegas and Grand Canyon, I am not so happy to waste my time on it (Grand Canyon is breathtaking though). And the other thing, the inland travel will be on bus. I remember 1 day bus trip from LV to Grand Canyon-desert and nothing else, boring with TV)
what is your suggestion? Is there nice packages for California alone, maybe flying to San-Francisco.
Many thanks
I am thinking April
what is the best time anyway? not too rainy not too hot
Hi All,
I live in Italy and my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to the west of the USA (landing in LA then moving to Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell/Page, Bryce Canyon) for September 2010 and I’m looking for advice about affordable places to stay at, how to get around (rented car, bus, train…?), how to dress for the desert and what do we need to bring with us (water, etc). Thanks!
well i want to go on a road trip tour across the united states. i’m starting from new york, and just want to go across the us, esp wanting to see the grand canyon, but i have no idea where to go to get accurate information, and which bus companies would be best for it. I also have to try to stay within a budget.
hope u guys can help really appreciate it.
okay. so on 19th. a tour bus is gonna take my family to vegas, than Skywalker, than the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I live in California, El Monte, next to LA.
So yeah. i want to buy shoes and a packback from vegas. is there a converse over at vegas? or can u plz gimme a list of stores from vegas? =]
Poker. What is the cost of a decent meal, hotel, Its not like we are going to scrimp by. what is the betting at most las vegas poker tables? Any day trips Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc, better to BUS TOUR or we would rather rent a car. What to make the most of this trip Please some ideas ….. TY
This is my agenda; see if its good?
Fly to san fo by plane and stay for 5 days (see and shop), then fly to los angeles and stay, see and shop.
From los angeles, i plan to take bus to vegas. How long would bus ride take? Are there travel agents who operate to run from los angeles to vegas?.
Stay in vegas for a day and head off to grand canyon by bus – is 5 hrs good enough to drive over there? are there tour operators available to take me there by bus? I plan to stay in GC area 2D/1N (?)
From GC, I plan to head off to Sedona by bus, spend 2D/1N, and then take bus back to las vegas. Are there buses that can take me back to las vegas from sedona? How many hours?
Then fly back to San Fo to catch my trip back home.
Is my plan feasible? anything I shld correct to make it better?
Have been there on guide tour in 2000, saw every famous hotel in city including downtown. saw some shows. Visited Grand Canyon and Hover Dumb.
Now I am planning a trip to California. The package includes flying to Ca from NY : LA, San Diego, San Francisco, Arizona (Grand Canyon) and Vegas. Total 10-11 days. My question is: does it make sense to take it, is there anything very interesting in Vegas I haven’t seen? I am not so happy to travel through deserts on bus.
Travelling by Greyhound bus
New York City – Washington D.C – Miami – New Orleans – Grand Canyon – LA – San Francisco – Chicago – Niagara Falls – New York City
Just travelling times I’ve already planned how many days for each destination, if there’s any great American destinations on the way I’ve missed please let me know. Thanks
I will be visiting Las Vegas/NV at the end of April. I will be there for five days, leaving at midnight on the fifth day. There are a few places I want to visit, but not sure how to fit it all in as I’m not certain how much time I will need in each. Mind you, I have a bad ankle, so I won’t be able to do a lot of hiking. I’m already taking a plane tour to the Grand Canyon one of the days which takes you down into the canyon and includes a 2.5 hour bus tour (total 7 hours). Also doing a dune buggy tour on another day which takes about 4 hours. There are the rest of the places I’d like to visit: Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, and Hoover Dam. How much time do I need in each so I can better coordinate my itinerary? Thank you!
I am going to be in Las Vegas next week for 6 full days and need some ideas on things to do. I would like to visit the Grand Canyon but it seems like all the bus tours only allow you 2-3 hrs at the canyon for 10 hours of driving. And I have no interest in seeing the Hoover Dam since I’ve been there once already. Would it be better to rent a car and drive, stay overnight somewhere and combine it with Zion or some other place en route?
Are there any other “must see” places near Vegas?
