My family and I visited the Grand Canyon last autumn. We were in the US but I couldn’t remember what side. Which side is the Canadian side?
How big are fines if some “ranger” find me there at night? Can I hide there (in the bushes) or they will find me everywhere? I don’t want to stay in the camping area. I want to sleep in my hammock one night and than go back to Grand Canyon Village and have a breakfast and go back to Phoenix. Have somebody done this kind of “hardcore-above-the-law” camping in GC before? Thanks for any help.
2-4 college students (girls) with very little money, but a strong desire to hike the Grand Canyon. Hoping not to drive due to the gas/wear and tear on a vehicle.
We’re heading to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and would like to stay near there. Anyone have any reccomendations? I’ve heard of lodges that you have to ride a mule to since there are no roads there but don’t know of the name. That interests us. Also, what else do you recommend to do in the area…places to eat, see, etc. thanks in advance!
I was wondering if I saw a rattlesnake while hiking the Grand Canyon and kill it, is it legal?
I’d like to have a rattlesnake skin and the rattle.
Also, if I do see one what is the safest way to kill it. Without a weapon like a gun of course!
I’m going from San Diego to Grand Canyon (South Rim). I can either go using I-8 or take I-15 (then I-40 and etc). Distance wise it makes no difference, I’m more worried about the traffic. I’m heading out on Wednesday about 3pm.
This is the second time that Americans have been captured near the border of a hostile nation. Stay home and go to the Grand Canyon. Seriously, people need to weigh the risks of their adventures and choose wisely!
How long does it last through the grand canyon and how deep is it?
