Sleeping on the ground under the stars. Chillin and relaxing in the creek all day. Going on a light hike. Seeing a deer right outside our camping area and planning our hike up the Bright Angel Trail.

We left the Bright Angel Campground around 530am and headed up the Bright Angel Trail out of the Grand Canyon on June 30, 2009. The hike was 9.6 miles and 8,000 in elevation.
It took us about 6 of the most intense and grueling hours of my life. By far the most physically, emotionally and mentally challenging things I’ve ever done. I came to near tears when we were done.
