Looking down into the vastness of Arizona’s Grand Canyon is an experience not to be forgotten. While standing on the rim is awesome, boarding a helicopter to fly out over the canyon is necessary to appreciate its immensity. This short video is the result of two helicopter flights from the Grand Canyon airport, one in the Winter and one in Summer weather.

Grand Canyon helicopters give you fantastic aerial views of the National Park. The most popular trip is a 30 minute rim to rim ride. It goes from South Rim to North Rim and back. I’m figuring that what you see from a chopper would take several days on the ground.

Grand Canyon helicotper pilots are required to give a safety briefing. It’s about 5 minutes long and talks about how to board the aricraft, use personal headsets and how to buckle up. Seating is also assigned at this time.
