I live on the west coast of Canada so I am spoiled with the mountains and the ocean on a daily basis. On vacation, I love going places that are vastly different from my usual surroundings (like the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley). I am looking for other geographically unique parks to plan vacations to visit. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Nothing is more serene and peaceful than a sunset over Grand Canyon South Rim. There are plenty of great places to catch both sunrise and sunset. The most popular is to simply walk along the rim trail and pick a private spot.
