A LOT of snow, very cold and hazardous conditions on Christmas Day up in the Grand Canyon. The 30 to 50mph winds and snow showers unfortunately prevented any viewing of the Canyon itself throughout the whole day. However, to experience the beauty of such a dangerous and beautiful place is unforgettable. This is the most snow I have ever seen or been in (sorry, I am from California!) Although my mom and I were saddened we could not see the inner walls of the Canyon covered in snow, just being up there was awesome.

A half day of clear weather after a good deal of snow at Grand Canyon south rim.
Driving back form the Grand Canyon this is what we found. Me, being from NM, have no idea how to drive in snowy weather. I can only imagine how worse it gets in winter because this was APRIL lol. Justin is recording, I’m driving, Cassie in the back with John who thankfully took over driving.
My guide said; its probably not a good idea to walk across the mighty cliffs at this bone chlling cold; but me and my cousin thought it could be more fun if we get lost in the snow at grand canyon and there’s no 911.
